The Bright Side of Winter
Today we experienced the first snowfall of the season. I can't honestly say I was happy to see it. Snow usually means winter is around the corner- and that means bitter cold, short days, and messy driving situations. But there are some wonderful things about this season. The following are reasons why I am happy to welcome to this season:
1. The Holidays! This was far more enjoyable when I was younger, and I actually had off for the holidays, but it is still enjoyable none the less. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and one of my favorites- New Years are magical, fun-filled times of the year.
2. Holiday music. Cheesy, but undeniably delightful. Santa babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
3. The festive decorations! NYC's fabulous window displays, the grand tree, homes decorated with lights, malls bursting with wreaths and garlands-everything just looks better
4. Pumpkin Pie. Do I really need to say more?
5. The first snowstorm. Also way more enjoyable when I was younger and didn't have to possibly drive to work but if I have off that means good books/movies, comforter, and chill out time.
6. Falling in love in winter has its certain charm. It involves more cuddle time, personal time, game nights, etc. Summer is all about raging and doing things, but in winter you just lack back and relax and spend some quality getting to know you time
7. Family time. All the holidays translate to increased family time, especially family you don't get to see too often!
8. Winter outfits are so much easier to ensemble, and far more comfortable than spring and summer outfits!
8. Presents. i love seeing people's faces when they open presents, or just even shopping people that I really like. And hell, I can't lie, I still like getting presents #kidatheart
9. The end of an old year/ start of a new year is a great time for reflection, learning, and new beginnings.
10. The holiday bonus. #cashmoney #cha-ching #bestpresentever
