Sticky Situations

6 month update....WHERE DO I BEGIN??????????

ok so i have broken some rules i set myself for this year, but i have also kept some important ones...

1. I passed my first semester of nursing school! I don't know if time flew or the semester was forever long but one thing was for sure it was def an interesting few months. I made some great friends...they are truly sweethearts, and they are def making the experience of being back in school more bearable! They are all crazy in their own way, but they are also so genuine, and kind hearted, and somehow we all seem to get each other...its a great dynamic! Nursing itself is a little overwhelming at times, it is so much information and skills to learn in such a short period of time..sometimes i think my brain is just swamped! Clinical are also a roller-coaster of emotions... sometimes they are rewarding but alot of times they are a pain in the ass, a shit ton of work, and exhausting! On wednesday i start my first pediatric rotation so that should be crazy and nerve wrecking working with those little ones! Final note: A couple of my classmates have taken a disliking to me...i have never had so many people dislike for no apparent reason! it was def hurtful and confusing to have people respond to me so negatively especially when i have been nothing but nice and pleasant..but i have to the conclusion that haters are going to be haters...i just have to keep doing what I am doing and focus on passing!

2. Salsa lessons: So for the past couple of weeks i moved on to a new salsa place. the place teaches puerto rican style salsa vs the cuban i was learning before. it is more fast paced and i am learning a lot more in a shorter period of time. I am truly enjoying it, and i have to say i am getting better!! =))

3. Alas, the final part: Boy (They don't deserve the title of men) Situation
FAIL, FAIL, FAIL....all of them. I have to the conclusion that either all men are born with half a brain or i am completely lacking one for liking them. Either way not winning situation. Too bad this section is too private to share online, but god knows i just want a good venting right now. I know on some levels i must be wrong, but honestly i don't think i have any serious major character flaws, or physical deformities, or anything that would really drive the men the way i do... but then i go for the guy that is totally wrong for me... Anyways way too many things wrong with this equation...all i can say is that there are far too many variables, and not enough constants to solve this equation!!!

It's been a crazy four years, but today marks the official end of my undergraduate career. How can I sum my time at Rutgers in a blog post? Totally impossible. But I can say this... there is not a thing I would change. I have quite literally grown up with Rutgers. Direction

The roads of our lives come with no maps. No signs to tell us when to yield, when to stop, or when to go. Streets, alleys, and highways are forged as we drive along. There are crossroads, and choices to be made. There are u-turns, and detours. Sometimes we take the expressway, and other times the local. Sometimes its sunny, and sometimes it rains. The "Illegal"

Recently, Vishnu and I watched "Illegal", a 2019 drama film directed by Danish Renzu. This powerful movie tells the story of a young man who comes to the US on a student visa to pursue his dream of becoming a film director. However, his journey is far from easy and the story sheds light on the many struggles he encounters along the way. As I watched the film, I was overwhelmed by a sense of melancholy and gratitude.  The melancholy came mostly from my thoughts of my parents, aunts and uncles, in-laws, and other cherished people in my life who had faced similar challenges when they arrived in the United States nearly three decades ago. Although they seldom discuss their experiences, I know that life was incredibly difficult for them back then. Many of my loved ones worked arduous jobs, sometimes multiple jobs simultaneously, just to ensure that there was food on the table.
