Six Scents I Love!




Scents are magical in the sense that a particular smell can evoke memories. Scents also have the power to evoke attraction between two people, and unfortunately scents can also lead to repulsions. Scents are part of our everyday life, whether we are smelling the aroma of our next meal or the garbage which hasn't been taken out for days- the truth is, we can cannot escape scents. Scents that are particularly pleasant are perfumes and colognes. Here are some of my favorie all time scents!!!




1. Burberry 'London' (the discontinued edition) : a perfume light enough for everyday wear. it is a very simple and clean scent, and it leaves me feeling refreshed. I love it because it is versatile, you can wear it to work, to a picnic, or you can wear it out. You simply cannot go wrong.


2. versace 'Bright Crystal': it is a very floral scent, and if too much is put on it can be very overpowering. Nevertheless this scent captures the essence of a woman. Delicate, beautiful, and strong in its composition- this scent is perfect for a night out in town. This scent is ultra feminine and goes well for formal occasions as well.

3. Avon- 'Rebel Rose': this scent is very exotic and sensual. it is primarily a rose scent with some musky undertones. I love wearing this perfume when i feel sultry or in the mood for some romance. This scent screams sensuality!!

4. Bath & Body works 'Japanese cherry blossom body spray for the spray on the go! need a pick me up? off to the gym? going to the mall? Light, beautiful, and versatile... this is my go-to scent! A bonus is that it is inexpensive, and easily available in multiple sizes and forms.

5. DKNY- 'Delicious' + Nautica 'Nautica Perfume': I haven't actually worn these scents in years but i still adore them to this day. They are unique, clean, delightful scents that i highly recommend!

Direction

The roads of our lives come with no maps. No signs to tell us when to yield, when to stop, or when to go. Streets, alleys, and highways are forged as we drive along. There are crossroads, and choices to be made. There are u-turns, and detours. Sometimes we take the expressway, and other times the local. Sometimes its sunny, and sometimes it rains. But we keep driving. We keep driving. We drive and we drive, until one day our engine dies. Where did the road lead us? What was our destination? What was our purpose? 21 years. 21 years i have spent on these planet. What have i done? What have I achieved. Why am i here? I am driving, but it is foggy outside. The "Illegal"

Recently, Vishnu and I watched "Illegal", a 2019 drama film directed by Danish Renzu. This powerful movie tells the story of a young man who comes to the US on a student visa to pursue his dream of becoming a film director. However, his journey is far from easy and the story sheds light on the many struggles he encounters along the way. As I watched the film, I was overwhelmed by a sense of melancholy and gratitude.  The melancholy came mostly from my thoughts of my parents, aunts and uncles, in-laws, and other cherished people in my life who had faced similar challenges when they arrived in the United States nearly three decades ago. Although they seldom discuss their experiences, I know that life was incredibly difficult for them back then. Many of my loved ones worked arduous jobs, sometimes multiple jobs simultaneously, just to ensure that there was food on the table.
